A Honolulu-based restaurant chain has opened its first Tucson location.
is now open at 4210 N. First Ave., near East Limberlost Drive. It is the chain鈥檚 third Arizona restaurant.
鈥淭he community here loves Hawaii and is thrilled to have authentic Hawaiian plate lunches,鈥 Tucson owner Rilii Nakano said.
The Tucson restaurant is one of four the Hawaiian chain has recently opened. The 72-year-old restaurant now has 228 locations throughout the U.S. and Japan since becoming a franchise in 1999.
It specializes in 鈥減late lunch鈥 which is also known as 鈥渢he state food of Hawaii鈥 and dates to wage laborers in 19th-century sugar plantations and pineapple fields, who brought rice and other leftovers to work in tins and shared home recipes from Japan, China, Philippines, Portugal and Korea.

AB46 Investments LLC, doing business as , leased 13,888 square feet of retail space at San Francisco Square, 3906 N. Oracle Road, from The Machado Family Trust. Dave Hammack, with Picor, represented the landlord and Cameron Lee, with David Lee Real Estate Co., represented the tenant.
Guero鈥檚 Produce LLC leased 3,390 square feet of industrial space at 850 E. Ohio St. from RRL Inc. Denisse Angulo-Badilla, with Picor, represented the tenant and Max Fisher, with BRD Realty LLC, represented the landlord.
The 1960s home has walls built and decorated with thousands of empty bottles.
