Still needing help in its 2026-27 frontcourt after Koa Peat stayed in the NBA Draft, Arizona has reached an agreement with 6-8 Montenegrin wing Maksim Brnovic of the Zalgiris II club in Lithuania, according to Mike Luke of the AZ12 podcast.
Arizona's Koa Peat answers questions at his NBA Combine media interview on May 13, 2026, at the Marriott Marquis in Chicago.聽
Brnovic would give the Wildcats a third player with ties to Lithuania, where the Wildcats are scheduled to play three exhibition games in August. He averaged 8.1 points and 3.2 rebounds for Zalgiris II, the U18 branch of the Kaunas-based club, making 54.5% of his two-point shots and shooting 29.8% from 3-point range, where he took 44% of his field goal attempts.
Brnovic drew praise while playing five games for Zalgiris II in the Adidas Next Gen tournament last month, averaging 15.4 points and 4.0 rebounds while shooting 47.6% from 3-point range.
Arizona is still expected to add at least one other scholarship player for 2026-27.
